Data Entry Associate for Jobs On The Fly
Part-time, up to 20 hours per week
Work location: Hampton Roads
Remote allowed: Yes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Search and locate job-related information using the Google and Bing search engines on a laptop or desktop computer.
- Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
- Retrieve information from search engines and enter into computer databases using a laptop or desktop to create new records and associated data.
- Verify information on the computer screen, including text and images, for accuracy and completeness.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work multiple, simultaneous hours in front of a computer screen.
- Must be able to self-manage work tasks without direct supervision.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must possess strong attention to detail.
- Must have your own computer / laptop, preferably with an additional full-size monitor.
Content Marketing & SEO College Intern for Jobs On The Fly
The JOTF Intern will assist the management team in daily web and social media tasks including career-building, resume-building, and job searching subject matter. The intern will have the opportunity to develop a solid understanding of online marketing, content creation, and related activities. The intern will fundamentally work to provide online customer service guides, FAQs, instructional documentation, and blog material for the Jobs On The Fly web applications. This is a non-paid, college credit-driven internship. Ideal candidates will be provided an opportunity to work up to 30 hours per week in the JOTF office on Colley Ave in North Colley (Norfolk). This is not a remote position. Perks include a free lunch each day, beverages, and flexible schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute basic SEO strategies (keyword research, link acquisition, and on-site optimization).
- Understand Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, and Bing Webmaster Tools.
- Identify and resolve 404 crawl errors and fix dead links.
- Improve meta data across older articles and services.
- Assist in the daily tasks across our social accounts (namely Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter).
- Execute a competitive analysis for other popular brands in our sector and monitor that competitive environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong interest in online marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills.
- Experience with WordPress and basic HTML is a plus.
- An active full-time student working to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Creative Writing, Technical Writing, or related field.
